Gail L. Blanpied, LPC, LMFT

Gail is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Corpus Christi, Texas. A graduate of Auburn University, Gail received her Masters in Counseling from Texas A&I University in Corpus Christi in 1975, and she provided psychological services at the Corpus Christi State School for twelve years. Since 1988 Gail has offered individual, couples, and group psychotherapy services, as well as seminars and retreats through her business, Personal Wholeness. She is currently the only Certified Hakomi Therapist in South Texas.

In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Gail has learned many skills for balancing and integrating the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Gail has taught Tai Chi Chuan classes since 1980 from the Corpus Christi bayfront to the Yucatan coast and the Amazon jungle of Peru. She has had a personal meditation practice since the 1970’s.

Gail instructs polarity yoga and is an Associate Polarity Practitioner. She also has graduated from the Raphaelite Training, the Corpus Christi Sound School with Don Campbell, and Dr Fabien Maman’s Academy of Sound, Color and Movement in southern France. 

Gail is a music practitioner and has played the harp for healing and transition. She accompanied the Corpus Christi Ballet for a special performance entitled Serenity. Personal Wholeness has produced both Aires of the Heart, featuring Gail on the Celtic harp with Lorie McCloud and a memorial CD, Take a Chance for her brother, John Blanpied.

A native of Corpus Christi Gail enjoys fishing and kayaking with her husband, John Michael. She has a son, Jeremy, who is completing a residency in neurology.
